IP Offerings was founded and is led by Richard Ehrlickman, a 30-year veteran at IBM. Rich spent his last 15 years at IBM as Vice President of Intellectual Property and Licensing. He was responsible for intellectual property licensing, development and manufacturing alliances, acquisitions, and divestiture of assets. IBM increased its intellectual property income by greater than 10 times in this period, exceeding $1.7 billion in intellectual property income his last year at the company.
Mr. Ehrlickman then served as CEO at Automated Resource Group, a software and service company specializing in database and subscription management solutions, and later as Executive Vice President of IP Transactions at TAEUS International Corporation.
Rich Ehrlickman holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from CCNY and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University. He is a member of LES, IEEE and AUTM, Rich is a CLP (Certified Licensing Professional), and he is a member of the IAM Strategy 250 - The World’s Leading IP Strategists. Rich was recently interviewed by CNN for a profile of Kodak and its patent holdings
As Vice President of IPOfferings, Tom Major brings extensive experience in the buying and selling of intellectual property, technology transfer licensing, patent assertion and litigation settlement to the company. Mr. Major’s experience includes all aspects of IP management from the university and inventor aspect to small businesses and major industrial corporations. During his career, he completed over 200 transactions.
Prior to joing IPOfferings, Mr. Major was Vice President, Licensing at Honeywell IP Inc., a unit of Allied Signal, Inc. He also held positions as Managing Director, IP Transactions at TAEUS Corporation and Vice President, Licensing at IPValue Management, Inc. He began his career in the Technology Transfer Department of the University of Utah.
Thomas Major holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Southern Utah University, an M.S. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University, and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University. He is a member of the Licensing Executive Society and a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP).
As the Intellectual Property Technologist at IPOfferings, Mike brings a strong collection of technical and business skills to the monetization of intellectual property. Mike’s background includes tactical and strategic program management, targeting and executing intellectual property investigations as part of patent licensing programs, managing and executing intellectual property engineering programs including technical patent evaluations, reverse engineering projects, and prior art searches. Mike’s engineering skills encompass semiconductor and photovoltaic materials, processes, and characterization, electroplating and electroforming, process engineering development, transfer, and control.
Mike’s professional experience includes program manager positions at Patent Matters and TAEUS International, engineering and account technologist roles at Applied Materials, Ascent Solar Technologies, and Photo Stencil. Mike is a co-inventor on nine patents and author/co-author of eight technical papers.
Mike holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Irvine, and is active in the American
Chemical Society, IEEE, and the Licensing Executives Society. Mike has been deposed in three major
patent litigation matters.
